At LexiFr, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application and website. Our approach is designed to be fully compliant with GDPR and other relevant privacy regulations.

To provide and improve our service, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Your email address when you create an account.
  • Learning Data: Your profile level, onboarding choices, vocabulary progress, and review history.
  • Subscription Data: Your current subscription status and tier.
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous analytics events to understand how the app is used.
  • Technical Data: Crash reports and error diagnostics (if applicable) to maintain app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following essential purposes:

  • Account Access & Sync: To authenticate your account and provide cloud sync for your progress when online.

3. Microphone and Speech Recognition

LexiFr features a Shadowing mode for voice practice, which requires microphone access. Speech processing may rely on native device or platform speech services (such as Apple Speech or Google Speech Recognition). We do not record, store, or transmit audio files to our servers. All speech processing occurs in real-time.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party providers to operate LexiFr. These services have their own privacy policies regarding how they handle data:

  • Supabase: Used for secure authentication, database hosting, and data synchronization.
  • Firebase Analytics: Used to collect anonymous usage and crash data to help us improve the app.
  • RevenueCat: Used to securely manage and validate your subscription status.
  • Apple App Store & Google Play: Used for processing all billing and payments. We do not have access to your payment details.

5. Children's Privacy

LexiFr is not intended for children under 13. In the European Union, users under 16 should use LexiFr only with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages without verified parental consent.

You have the right to control your personal data. Under applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request the deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Once LexiFr is live, you'll be able to delete your account directly in the app settings. Until then, send a deletion request to privacy@lexifr.com.
